Coinciding with the eve of World Milk Day, celebrated on June 1, Galician river has organized an act with which to value the determining role of women for the milk sector of Galicia and the survival of the rural environment.
The brand of 100% Galician milk belonging to Lence Group has presented “Río Attitude: Pure Courage” along with the entire value chain. With this campaign, Galician river values the work of rural women, who, proud defenders of the countryside, are the ones who continue to have a future today. The campaign can be seen on the Río de Galicia website, on its social media accounts and through a QR code that will be on milk containers.
The event was held at the Juana de Vega de Oleiros Foundation (A Coruña) and included the participation in a round table by Silvestre José Balseiros, General Director of Livestock, Agriculture and Agri-food Industries of the Xunta de Galicia; Elena Mancha Montero de Espinosa, General Director of Labor Relations of the Xunta de Galicia; Gabriela González, Director of Sustainability and Corporate Communication at Vegalsa-Eroski; and Carmen Lence, CEO of Grupo Lence; in addition to the ranchers of the company's campaign.
Through the participation in the act of the cattle farmers of the campaign and the rest of the speakers, the company has underlined the weight of rural women in assuming the businesses of the sector, while they have highlighted the strength of the Galician dairy sector , its hegemony in consumption at the national level and the importance of this product in the basic diet of millions of homes.
