A packaging for ANFACO full of color, sustainable and original

ANFACO

This project addresses the two proposals designed for the National Association of Canned Fish and Seafood Manufacturers (ANFACO), both graphic design and packaging design (Tría).

In the last edition of the Award Anuaria 2023, it was recognized Sergio Cuartones with a 'Yearly Selection' in the category of best packaging by 'Tría'.

The concept, based on the Pantone universe, uses simple geometric figures and flat tones. The range of the selected color code is extracted from the coat of arms of the Council of Vigo, where the headquarters of ANFACO.

Regarding the graphic design, the front of the packs is composed in Helvetica with a solid tone upper rectangle, which refers to the Pantone context.

The color cards of this brand are a product catalog and the packaging is presented as a genre sample: tuna, mussels, sardines... The packaging is single-material, made of cardboard, with two-ink printing in the case of tuna and the sardines and three in the mussels.

It is proposed to package the product in cylindrical cans, which makes it possible to take advantage of space and differentiate itself at the point of sale. The strip surrounds the three cans, dispensing with any type of adhesive, because all joints and fixings are made by clipping.
