Founded in 1978 by Henk Bark and headquartered in the Netherlands, Bark has grown from a traditional specialist packaging wholesaler to a value-added supplier of industrial packaging.
Bark expanded into flexible packaging with the acquisition of Dutch Pack International in 2017 and UN-certified packaging for the transport of dangerous goods with the acquisition of CarePack in 2021. Over the past decade, Bark has gained recognition for its proprietary and custom designs through Bark Innovations.,In June 2022, Bark acquired DeeDee Pouch Professionals, a provider of innovative and sustainable packaging and other flexible products to the European food and chemical markets.
Berlin Packaging's acquisition of Bark is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the fourth quarter. Until then, Berlin Packaging and Bark will continue to operate as separate and independent companies.
