Tetra Pak® sales grew 3,5% in 2013

Tetra Pak® announced net sales of € 11.100 billion in 2013, 3.5% more than in 2012 in comparative terms. With regard to Tetra Pak Iberia, the company had a turnover of 580 million euros in 2013, with total sales of 7.503 million containers, equivalent to 5.266 million bottled liters.
The company's Packaging Solutions unit achieved net sales of 9.600 million euros, an increase of 3% in relation to 2012 in volume of packaging material, which is reflected in the more than 178.000 million containers delivered to customers all over the world.

About 27% of this volume comes from Tetra Pak's advanced product portfolio. Compared to 21% in 2012, it reflects particularly strong inter-annual growth in individual Tetra Prisma ® Aseptic packages and Tetra Brik ® Aseptic Edge 1 liter packages of up to 35% and 75% respectively. 

The packaging unit has also experienced solid growth in Capital Goods, with a 15% increase in sales compared to 2012 and supported by more than 580 new deliveries of packaging machines around the world, led by demand for clients in China, Central America and South America.
Sales within the Process Solutions unit reached 1.500 million euros in 2013, which means a year-on-year increase of 16% with solid growth in all markets.
The company experienced another success with the development of scaled-down versions of some of its market leading Process technologies, such as the launch of Tetra Alcross® RO Lite, Tetra Therm® Aseptic Flex 1, Tetra Therm® Aseptic Drink 1 and Tetra Albatch ™ 1.
