Chanel continues to advance in the eco-responsible transformation of its product ranges. Its range of Eau de Toilette Chance Eau Fraiche de Chanel will now have a anodized aluminum strip Made in France, instead of the galvanized polished brass used up to now. To rise to the challenge of this change in material, the premium brand has turned to the experience of G. Pivaudran.

The choice of aluminum as part of a reinforced CSR strategy

The band around the bottle, initially in galvanized polished brass, is now in anodized aluminium. These strips are made in the Lot region of France and assembled by partner glassmakers of the brand, both in France and Italy. This change, certainly imperceptible to consumers, nevertheless represents a strong symbolic gesture by Chanel in its eco-responsible transformation, stripped of all ostentation as well as effective and practical.

Making the straps around Chance's flasks was a considerable challenge for G.Pivaudran's teams. They had to use the full range of their knowledge to shape a thin strip of aluminum (0,6mm), very delicate to handle, which fit perfectly around the cylindrical curvature of the bottle while preserving the shiny appearance of the material. A complex range that requires the total flexibility of the strips, combined with the precision of automated assembly. The manufacturer G.Pivaudran has now taken over the production of all fragrance formats: 35 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml and 150 ml.

Chanel launches these new bottles for sale with the 100 ml version. It will then continue with anodized aluminum formats in 2024.
