March 5th 2018

Valencian and Catalan companies, articulated through their respective clusters, have proposed market needs detected in the field of packaging to students from centers and universities throughout the state. The works are carried out within the framework of the IX edition of the National Awards for Design and Sustainability of Container and Packaging, in which the participation of more than 200 students is expected, with the involvement of 16 universities throughout the state. The awards have been promoted since their creation in 2009 by the Valencian Packaging and Packaging Cluster and this year they have the companies of the Catalan Packaging Cluster, as a result of the collaboration established by both entities.

Ideas such as plastic caps in the field of child safety, a granulate dispenser cap or an interchangeable makeup palette, among others, will be worked on. The companies that have proposed challenges are Logicfruit and Lacteos Romar (members of the Packaging and Packaging Cluster), as well as MENSHEN, IP Triana and QUADPACK (members of the Packaging Cluster). The awards, aimed at university students and recent graduates, aim to promote innovation, design and sustainability in the packaging sector to work on open innovation, linking the university community with the business environment.
