Regula Jar, a sustainable jar manufactured by Louvrette

June 29th, 2020

regulate jar, made in Europe by Louvrette, quad pack Company is the perfect example of Quadpack's sustainable product development strategy (Reduce, Recycle, Replace, Reuse).

Reduce: They went from a thick-walled jar to a version up to 50% lighter and with the same print size: these are the main characteristics of Regula Light, a lightweight packaging that saves costs and reduces the carbon footprint of transport.

Recycle: The challenge was to start marketing Regula Light in recyclable and recycled versions; Louvrette opted for SusPET (recyclable raw material) and PCR (post-consumer recycled material). The result is Regula Eco. A new Regula glass jar, a premium recyclable product, will be available soon.

Replace: Quadpack is in the process of homologation of alternatives such as Sulapac, which allows the replacement of conventional plastic with a material without microplastics made from wood and natural biopolymers.

Reusing: Quadpack continues to research to find new ways to produce more sustainable packaging, working in all phases of the product life cycle: from the source of the materials to their disposal. The idea is to convert the products of the Regula range, as well as others, into refills. This summer the new Regula Airless will be released.

Regula Light and Regula Eco are available in 50 ml versions.
