Coviñas renews the image of Veterum

El Veterum of Covinas it already looks new image after the restyling process to which the winery is subjecting its most representative brands. It is an exclusive bobal's wine, made from a careful selection of old vines.

This project arises from the need to update the image of the main brands of Coviñas. As the commercial deputy director of Coviñas points out, Jorge Srougi, "the objective was to evolve to a much more sensory packaging that would communicate and highlight the type of wine contained in this bottle, a special and high-quality wine representative of our history and our territory."

On this occasion, a design that would attract attention due to its texture and invite you to admire the bottle and take it with your hand. The label The front has a mooring that represents the roughness of the old vineyard. This refers to the type of vineyard, an old vineyard with very low production in which the vines develop very deep roots in order to absorb the nutrients necessary to produce their fruit. They are glass-grown vines that are harvested manually, bunch by bunch. These vineyards are also representative of the history of a region and the generations that have cultivated them.

Veterum Bobal from Old Vines It is an aromatically complex wine that combines the nuances of wood and the fruity power of Bobal. After a brief aging in second-year French and American oak barrels, the wine gains structure while its tannins are rounded and softened. On the palate it is a balanced wine, with silky and well-polished tannins and persistent red fruit. It pairs very well with a wide variety of dishes such as grilled meats, risottos and carpaccio.

Along with this wine, it has been developed for the export market a Veterum Orange, a wine made from the fruit of old Macabeo vines with the particularity that in its production process there is no prior extraction, which increases the usual tannic content of a white wine and varies its tonality and organoleptic and taste characteristics, making it a special wine for a very specific market sector. This monovarietal is intended for export and was born with a first recognition, obtaining a Gold Medal in the summer edition of the Berliner Wine Trophy 2022.

This contest has awarded the Gold Medal to three Coviñas references, thus consolidating its three main ranges: Veterum Vitium Orange, Brut Aula Brut Jumpsuit.
