Record numbers for the closing of the 15th edition of AM Madrid

With the attendance of more than 13.400 visitors, the completion of 53.752 commercial interactions and the participation of more than 600 exhibiting companies, Advanced Manufacturing Madrid closes its 15th edition, exceeding all forecasts, with an economic impact of 15 million euros. The event, organized by Easyfairs and which includes the salons MetalMadrid, Composites and Robotics Madrid, has proven for yet another year to be a key meeting point for companies, experts and leaders in the metallurgical, automation and robotics and advanced materials sectors.

“The results we have achieved show the enormous potential that business fairs have for the industrial sector. The diversity of sectors represented, from metallurgy to automation and advanced materials, makes us an incomparable forum for the exchange of ideas, the generation of strategic alliances and the exhibition of the latest innovations. In this sense, I want to highlight the role of MetalMadrid, Composites and Robomática Madrid as an engine of opportunities and as spaces where creativity, technology and vision of the future converge, fundamental for the promotion of the industry," he states. Oscar Barranco, general director of Easyfairs Iberia.

Likewise, he adds: “in this edition of AM Madrid, the largest we have held so far, visitors have had access to more than 600 brands represented, three conference rooms, new welding, additive manufacturing and treatment demonstration workshops. of surfaces, in addition to guided tours of machinery in operation, which is, without a doubt, one of the strong points of the fair."

For its part, Juan Manuel Sánchez Mahón, general director of Trumpf in Spain and Portugal, assures: “the balance of this edition is very positive. AM Madrid is a fair that is widely accepted by customers and with a large number of visitors. We have been coming since its origins, being one of the founding exhibitors, and it is a must to be here. In addition, our clients demand it from us to be able to meet in person every year.”

As for the 2024 edition, the organization has confirmed that it will take place on November 20 and 21, with an initial growth forecast of 20%. To this we must add that before concluding this edition, more than 60% of the exhibition area for 2024 had already been reserved.

Tech Congress 4.0: more than 80 speakers

The 38.400 m2 of AM Madrid have not only hosted the latest advanced technologies and cutting-edge industrial solutions, but have also been the stage where more than 80 speakers have addressed the most relevant topics on sustainability, metaverse, AI, digital twins, automation, digital revolution, sustainability, surface treatment and composite materials. 

An example of this has been the Keynote Session “The future passes through the metaverse”, in which Peter Lozano, co-founder of Imascono and renowned explorer of AI and the Metaverse, has revealed the multiple applications that the latest technologies have in different sectors. “One of the main and most fascinating applications of virtual reality in industry is linked to training. There is already objective data from consulting firms such as PwC, which shows that the learning time of training with virtual reality is reduced by four times compared to e-learning or traditional training, and that the confidence acquired by a person is reinforced by up to 275%. person in applying the knowledge he has acquired to the real environment,” he explained.

Beyond technological innovation, sustainability has been another of the protagonists of this edition of the fair. Regarding this, the round table “Reducing the carbon footprint or how to achieve Net Zero” stands out. The path towards industrial sustainability”, with the participation of Miguel Arroyo, responsible for the environment of the UN Global Compact Spain; Susana Posada, vice president of DIRSE (Spanish Association of Sustainability Managers), and Santiago Oliver, director of Sustainability, Energy and Innovation at UNESID.

Success of the first Composites Ágora

One of the novelties of this edition of Composites Madrid has been the incorporation of the Agora Composites, an exclusive space that has combined an exhibition area of ​​composite materials, another for networking and a training room, with a wide range of specialized talks. In addition, it has hosted the 4th edition of the AEMAC Congress on Composite Materials, whose president, Rafael Izquierdo, stated: “this year the Composites area in AM Madrid stands out, a space that serves as a meeting point for the sector. With it you give us the opportunity to fulfill one of the most important values ​​of the association, the dissemination of the knowledge that exists in Spain about composite materials."
